Well that was good wasn’t it? A tip of the hat to everyone involved in the running of Indy Man, to plan and execute such a finely tuned festival was clearly the work of a talented bunch (I’m looking at you Common / Port Street Beer House!) From the masterstroke that was hosting in the surroundings of Manchester’s Victoria Baths (is there a better place to host such an event?) to the quality of food stalls, pop up tastings and variety of guest speakers. Oh yeah, the beer wasn’t bad either! In between stints working on the Portable Street Bar we found time to sup upon ales from Summer Wine, Bitches Brewing, Mikkeller, Kernel, Thornbridge, not too mention first tastings of Modus Operandi and their version of a Lambic from The Wild Beer Co! IBMC really broke away from the general stereotypes of your average beer festival and provided the perfect environment to showcase the new wave of British breweries. Roll on 2013!
